Real Good Kitchen Has A Home! - October 2019 Newsletter
Dear friends and early supporters,
I want to thank you for your belief in Real Good Kitchen. You have helped us keep the dream alive over two years of research, space shopping, number crunching, investor meetings and so many ups and downs. We have good news!
We have just purchased the building at 2004 E. Magnolia Avenue to be the future home of Real Good Kitchen. We are thrilled to find a home in East Knoxville, and look forward to being strong partners with our neighbors in honoring the history of the neighborhood and investing in an equitable future.
We are working with Sparkman & Associates Architects to flesh out the design for the building as a whole and for our 3500 sq.ft. space which will include a multi-station commercial kitchen, cold, dry and frozen storage, and a classroom/event area. Our hope is to capture the spirit and revive some of the historical aspects of the space that was once Lands Drive-in Restaurant.
We are currently seeking tenants for two other spaces in the building as well. If you or someone you know would like to lease commercially, please let us know!
You are invited to come visit us this Sunday, 10/27, from 1-5pm during the "Spirits of Parkridge" Home Tour. We’ll have more information and refreshments—and a sneak peak at our plans for the new facade and the interior design.
Real Good Kitchen’s mission is to make change through food. We aim to provide the resources for food businesses to thrive and grow and, in the process, contribute to an inclusive and vibrant Knoxville community.
We have more to do before we open our doors, and we still need your help, your expertise, your financial support, your partnership, your business—and your cheerleading! We are excited to have taken this step, and with your support, we will build Real Good Kitchen.
We will share our progress with you via email and on Facebook and Instagram. Stay tuned, and invite your friends to follow us as well!
With many thanks,
Bailey Foster
